About

Bute Elderly Befrienders provides a range of befriending services designed to improve quality of life, reduce isolation and loneliness, and keep older people independent and active for as long as possible in the communities they helped create.

Referrals

We require a referral form to be submitted for all new clients. Referrals can be made by professional organisations, individuals and even self-referrals.

Clients must be aged 65 or over and experiencing some form of loneliness or isolation.

Volunteer

Bute Elderly Befrienders involves volunteers in all aspects of our service. Whether you have been a volunteer in the past or have never volunteered before, we are certain that we can find a role to suit you. Volunteers receive full training and support and all out-of-pocket expenses will be met.

From 1-2-1 Befriending to Peer Support, Out & About activities to Dementia Support - we pride ourselves in providing a service tailored to the individual needs of our clients.

We believe that older people should have the opportunity to access their communities whatever their circumstances.
